a consummate painter of 
landscape, flowers, birds, 
plants and insects, while 
also excelling at running 
script calligraphy and the 
composition of poetry.  He
could be described as a 
classic example of the 
Chinese literatus, gifted in 
the realms of versification, 
calligraphy and painting.
